Mary Myers works with people to help them regain their sense of aliveness, using her rich background and training as an Ordained Pastoral Counselor, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Practitioner, and Meditation Facilitator with the Community of Mindfulness.
She recently presented "Storms Can't Hurt the Sky" with Gabriel Cohen, a three day workshop at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, teaching teaching mindfulness practices to deal with loss.
She uses EFT with clients both in person and by phone and has seen remarkable results in which intense physical pain is relieved and long term emotional pain lightens and is released.
Mary also teaches Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy workshops, assisting people in finding ways to prepare for and avoid depression relapse, and strengthening their capacity to be proactive in their own mental health.
Mary received psychotherapeutic training through the Helix Healing Ministry, a rigorous four-year training program in integrating psychotherapeutic and spiritual models of healing. She is also an award-winning composer and performer and has designed and led group workshops in self-empowerment through singing over the last 15 years.
In addition to her work with private clients in offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn, she has taught at SUNY Purchase, George Mason University and the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art.

"Three years ago, I was recovering from cancer treatment and was still married to someone who I hardly ever saw. I knew I needed to end my marriage in order to make a new life for myself but somehow I couldn't. After months of talking about what was keeping me stuck in a marriage that was so clearly bad for me, my therapist suggested an EFT session. I was willing to try anything.
After one long session I went from stuck to superhuman. I went to the courthouse library, got the paperwork, and served as my own attorney for the divorce.
I still look back and marvel. I'm glad I was asked to write this, because it reminds me how effective EFT was for me. I will continue to consider EFT a valuable resource in my life."

"I had been suffering from extreme anxiety and OCD for many years. I tried many therapies such as cognitive behavioral but nothing really got to the bottom of it. When I met Jondi and she introduced me to EFT therapy, I began to see movement . I found her to be incredibility kind, gentle, intuitive and practical. Together with Jondi and EFT therapy, I saw incredible results and found relief and healing. I am very thankful to her for facilitating my growth and transformation." C.L., Brooklyn, NY

DISCLAIMER: EFT is still in its infancy and we have much to learn about its inner workings. In the meantime, it has been made into a user-friendly procedure so you can try it yourself after thoroughly learning the techniques. Please know, also, that some people's emotional and/or physical issues are such that they shouldn't try ANY healing procedure without the presence and guidance of a qualified health professional. Although not endorsed by any medical or government establishment, we have an initial list of scientific experiments and studies that help validate EFT's benefits. The permanence of the successes of using EFT varies widely and cannot be predicted in advance. In some cases, the symptoms re-appear right away and thus require more EFT or other interventions. In other cases, the symptoms vanish and don't re-appear. We do not claim that EFT is a substitute for drugs, surgeries, radiation or other conventional medical interventions, and we encourage you to get regular medical exams and talk to your doctor or other health professionals about what treatments are best for you. We are not physicians nor do we have formal training in medicine, acupuncture or psychotherapy.
